Our factory that manufactures S-märke is currently experiencing a capacity shortage as the demand for our S-märken has become very high. Therefore, we have chosen to prioritize the best-selling flavors and temporarily paused production on the other varieties. We hope to resume the production of Violskum as soon as possible. So keep an eye out in the stores because they will be back!
We always adapt our range based on what you, the consumers, demand, which means products come and go. If your personal favorite has disappeared from the candy shelf, we are of course very sorry about that, but we hope you will soon find a new favorite!
We use flowpack packaging for some of our pick-and-mix products to preserve flavor and texture, as well as for hygiene reasons. The shelf life of the candy is also improved. Please remember to recycle our flowpack packaging as plastic.
The shelf life of our products varies depending on the product itself. A date stamp can always be found on the packaging.
In Original Series, we gather some of Sweden's most beloved pick-and-mix candies in ready-to-go bags. All products in the series are gelatin-free, palm oil-free, and also completely vegan.
Our products are available in most grocery stores, both in the retail grocery sector and the convenience store sector. The products are primarily delivered to the store chains' central warehouses, so please feel free to contact your nearest retailer to see if they can expand their assortment if something you are looking for is missing.
Our products are manufactured in Europe and to a large extent in Sweden. Our manufacturing primarily takes place in the Nordic region, which includes Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. However, we would like to keep production in Sweden as much as possible, as it benefits both the workforce and the environment.
Currently not all of our products are vegan, but it is clearly stated on the product whether it is vegan or not. We are constantly working to review our ingredients and are always trying to make as much candy as we can vegan. Keep an eye out, because soon it might just be your favorite product that becomes vegan.
We at Candy People have bought RIGI, which is a brand and not a recipe. Since we do not have access to the old recipe, we have of course tried to replicate the recipe as closely as possible. Our taste buds are constantly changing, and over the years, the taste from the past and today can be perceived as different, despite an almost identical flavor. Even a memory of a taste changes over the years. The original recipe belongs to Fazer.
We at Candy People are constantly product developing and often review our recipes. Right now we cannot remove the gelatin from S-märken as we have not yet found a good substitute for it, if we want to keep the same texture and taste. We are constantly looking into this and will definitely let you know when we succeed!
Salt liquorice rarely contains salt, but the salty taste you feel when eating salty S-märken comes from the substance ammonium chloride.
You can read the ingredients included in a product on the ingredient list on the packaging. The ingredient that there is the most of comes first, followed by the other ingredients in descending order. If an ingredient is an allergen, such as milk, the ingredient is always written in capital letters and is also marked in bold. As our products are constantly being improved, the contents of the products may change. Therefore, read the ingredient list on the packaging carefully. You will always find the correct ingredient information on the product.
Hazelnut paste is used in the blue RIGI milk chocolate as a flavor enhancer to bring out a sweet, slightly nutty flavor in the chocolate.
Unfortunately, we use palm oil in some of our products because we have not found a suitable substitute to achieve a corresponding quality in the candy. Palm oil has certain properties that we cannot quite replicate with other ingredients, which is why the palm oil remains. We are constantly working to solve this and to remove as much palm oil from our products as possible.

Unfortunately, our Candy People Boxes, which are often seen on social media, are exclusively for PR shipments, collaborations, or contest prizes and therefore cannot be purchased. Unfortunately, consumers cannot buy our merch. These are exclusively for internal use, contest prizes, PR mailings, or available through collaborations. However, keep an eye on our social channels for current contests where you can sometimes find giveaways featuring merch from various launches.
The small flowpack packages that you find around some of our pick-and-mix products can be sorted at source as plastic.
We believe that our portion-sized bags are the perfect size. It is the exact amount needed to satisfy your sweet tooth without overconsuming the candy. If you still feel like you want more of the good stuff, remember – if they are small, you can take two!
